McKelvey Designs is a family-owned remodeling company based in Simonton, Texas. We started in 1991 and have spent the past three decades transforming homes across the Greater Houston area — from the master-planned communities of Katy and The Woodlands to the older bones of Memorial, Bellaire, and River Oaks.

We're Debbie and Ron McKelvey. Debbie studied interior design at the University of Houston and Southwest Texas State. Before starting McKelvey Designs, our family ran Hull-McKelvey Beauti-Pleat Draperies, supplying major Houston builders like Perry Homes, General Homes, Village Builders, and US Homes throughout the 1960s-80s. When we went out on our own, we brought that same standard with us: show up when you say you will, use the materials you said you'd use, and stand behind your work.

We specialize in kitchen remodels, bathroom remodels, and custom cabinetry because that's where the biggest return on investment lives for Houston homeowners. But we also handle tile, flooring, painting, countertops, and full whole-home remodels when the project calls for it.

We're members of NARI — the National Association of the Remodeling Industry — which means we hold ourselves to a code of ethics and continuing education that a lot of "contractors" don't bother with.
